Ontario Was Built On
Ontario was built on a simple promise: if you showed up, worked hard, and played by the rules, you could build a good life here. A secure, well-paying job. A home you can afford in communities that are safe, with strong reliable public services.
That deal no longer exists - and at a time when Ontario is under attack, it has become more important than ever. This plan is about restoring the deal that built this province and building an Ontario that works for you.

Trump matters. Hospitals matter too. Schools matter too. Rent matters too. Your job matters. A Premier has to take on more than one fight at a time.
It's About Jobs
Ontario built Canada's economy. It can do it again – and we will remain relentlessly focused on doing just that.
The Ontario Jobs Fund will support important initiatives focused on creating good, well-paying opportunities across this province.
Advanced manufacturing, critical minerals, agri-food processing, aerospace, auto and defence – these aren't just industries. They are the foundation of good-paying jobs for hundreds of thousands of Ontario families. We will fight to make it easier to start a business and grow one, helping companies adopt new technology, commercialize the world-class research happening here and expand to new markets. Improving opportunities for people with disabilities, while investing in training, paid co-ops, apprenticeships, work-integrated learning and union-led training. We will help young people get a strong start by creating a Youth Employment Strategy.
In response to President Trump’s unjustified attacks on Ontario we will defend auto, steel and forestry workers. And we'll build the infrastructure this economy needs – by and for Ontarians.
Make Life More Affordable
For too long the cost of living has outpaced what people earn. That has to change.
We will address the day-to-day costs that are putting stress in people’s lives. Making sure the government uses every tool in its toolbox to protect consumers at the till, including by cracking down on consumer surveillance pricing and finding new ways to grow more at home. We will further increase grocery access by strengthening property controls to welcome new grocery stores in our communities.
We’ll encourage more transit users and make it more affordable by reducing transit fees. Expanding affordable childcare will be a top priority to support working families. Ontarians will be rewarded for making green choices that save energy and lower their bills, while we focus on reducing the burdens that hit their bottom lines each day: unnecessary taxes, fees, red tape and delays.
And we will unleash housing supply across Ontario, making it easier to build more homes at prices people can actually afford to buy or rent.
Affordability means one thing: people earning more and keeping more of what they make.
Education That Leads Again
Ontario’s public education has long been a great equalizer. But its funding has collapsed, leaving a generation of schoolkids further behind and young adults saddled with more postsecondary debt.
We know education is one of our party’s strengths and we will work with teachers and education workers to reduce class sizes and improve learning outcomes for Ontario’s children. We will make critical investments in school infrastructure and ensure hunger is never a barrier to learning through the Ending School Hunger program.
And we will undo the Conservative government’s damaging cuts to OSAP, reducing barriers to university or college, while giving more students the opportunity to graduate with the financial freedom, and experience, they need to be ready to work and build their life here.
Health Care That Works
People in Ontario deserve a universal public health care system that is there for them when they need it. Ontario spends less per person on health care than any other province – and under Doug Ford, you get what you pay for.
It’s time to fix health care. That means timely access to primary care so emergency rooms can focus on real emergencies. It means shorter wait times for diagnostic procedures and real access to reliable mental health supports. It means properly-funded reproductive care and health research that actually includes women. And it means everyone has the opportunity to age with dignity – supported by a system that shows up from primary care to long-term care
Safe Communities
Ontario needs to be safe and feel safe – that means enjoying public spaces and communities without fear.
Law enforcement and our court system need the resources to tackle crime and prevent it. We need to confront racism, Islamophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, and all other forms of hatred without reservation. Ontario must treat gender-based and intimate partner violence as the epidemic that it is, and provide real support for coordinated prevention and response initiatives.
Building Ontario Up
Ontario’s strength has always come from every part of it. Building this province up means investing in the foundations that make a good life possible – from the roads that connect our communities to the schools and hospitals that serve them. For too long, that investment has fallen short.
We will build the key infrastructure Ontario needs: highways, roads, public transit, clean energy, schools, and hospitals. We will make the necessary investments in climate change adaptation and emergency preparedness. We will build responsible nuclear energy and ensure Ontario’s grid includes more reliable clean energy. And, as we build, we will protect what makes Ontario worth fighting for – the Greenbelt, key conservation lands and our natural heritage - taking on new ambitious land-protection targets and expanding the role and mandate of Ontario Parks to protect more of our natural spaces.
Building Ontario up also means building it for everyone. Northern, rural, Francophone, Indigenous, and remote communities face distinct realities and deserve more than one-size-fits-all solutions from Queen’s Park. Our plans will be shaped with the people who live there - not for them. We will be a genuine partner to Ontario’s Indigenous communities. We will support Franco-Ontarians and their institutions. And we will work with northern communities to develop a long-term Strong North Action Plan that finally makes the north a priority - not an afterthought.
Every region deserves to share in Ontario’s growth and opportunity. That is what building Ontario up actually means.
Ontario's potential has not disappeared. What's missing is a government with the ambition to lead, the discipline to deliver, and the determination to make hard work pay again - so that if you do your part, you can build a good life here. That is the deal we will restore.
