Campaign Pledge
How we run matters as much as whether we win. We're in this race because we believe in Ontario, in this party, and in the work ahead. We also believe the way we campaign tells people how you'll govern. So here's our commitment — every day, until the votes are counted, and after.
We respect Ontarians. Politics is about making things better for everyone. So we're honest with voters. We listen to them and the unique perspectives they bring. We treat them with dignity — whether they agree with us or not. Because we know that Ontario is better because it's diverse.
We respect ourselves. We act with integrity. We hold ourselves to the highest standards. A competition doesn't change who we are — it reveals it.
We respect each other. This is a team sport. We work hard. We listen to each other. We tell hard truths. We learn from our differences. We admit mistakes. We find the solution no matter what. We assume good intent — but we call out bad behaviour no matter where it's coming from.
We respect the process. We believe deeply in Canada's sovereignty and democracy. We play by the rules — always with integrity, even if that means doing more than the rules require. We play hard but fair. We treat our opponents and their supporters with empathy and dignity.
Ideas over insults. We'll make our case on the strength of our vision, our record, and our plan for Ontario. We won't tear down fellow Liberals to lift ourselves up. There's more than enough to fight for without fighting each other.
Opponents on the ballot, colleagues off it. The other candidates in this race are our colleagues, not our enemies. Their teams love this party as much as we do. We'll debate sharply when we must, and leave every room with our relationships intact.
One party, one fight. We're all Liberals. Whatever happens in this race, the winner leads a movement that includes every one of us. We'll make sure that's still true when it's over.
Bigger than this campaign. The goal isn't just to win a leadership race. It's to build a party ready to win again, govern well, and earn back the trust of Ontarians. That work starts now — with how we treat each other.
